My son received his NHS ADHD diagnosis in 2024 but we didn’t start him on the medication. We now feel it would be worth trying but we seem to be stuck. The RTC clinics we have tried won’t take the referral just for titration without their own diagnosis assessment and the gp won’t refer him for diagnosis as he already has an NHS diagnosis. We have completed a CAMHS referral but the waiting time is 12 months. We are at a bit of a crisis point with his ADHD and need to try something soon. Anyone have any useful suggestions?

Hi, the titration only route can be tricky, but there are hopefully some options that might be available to your son. The link below has a list of Right to Choose providers incase you haven’t come across them yet. Select ‘ADHD Child Assessment’ on the tabs above the list.

> **[Right to Choose - ADHD UK - Your NHS options](https://adhduk.co.uk/right-to-choose/right-to-choose-wait-times/)**
>
> Our data on the national and local NHS wait times and NHS Right to Choose options.

Some providers offer titration only such as the one below:

> **[NHS Right to Choose ADHD medication for children and teenagers | Clinical...](https://www.clinical-partners.co.uk/nhs-right-to-choose-assessments-and-medication/nhs-right-to-choose-adhd-medication-for-children/)**
>
> We offer a specialist and clinically robust ADHD medication service through Right to Choose, to help find the right medication for your child.

The last link is for Local ICB data and information about any restrictions and recent changes (always best to confirm information found here with the provider, as sometimes a provider may not have informed ADHD about very recent changes made.

> **[Local NHS ADHD Asseessment Information - Local NHS Area information on ADHD...](https://adhduk.co.uk/nhs-area/)**
>
> Use your postcode or click your area to find your local information on ADHD wait times, restrictions and any Right to Choose options.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask 🙂
