I have been referred to right to choose since January. My status hasn’t changed. This is quiet disappointing and is also beyond the expected wait time. Can someone please advise how to move forward?
Hi, thanks for posting. It’s probably worth contacting them and explaining that you’ve heard nothing back and asking what the current wait time is for initial assessment. Below is a link for current UK wait times guide which might be helpful. It can feel difficult when you’re waiting for a long time without anything back at all, and it’s reasonable to check in with the provider for an update.
If you wasn’t happy about the wait time or the support process, you could also go back to your GP and ask to be referred but to another provider. You could look up the wait times and make a decision based on this and then take the name of your nominated provider to your GP.
