ADHD support in a work meeting

Hi, I am struggling to make work understand the complexities of ADHD and need an advocate to attend a meeting with me. Does anyone have any suggestions on who to use? Thanks

Hi, thanks for posting and welcome!

Sorry to hear, and I hope you can feel more understood and find a way forward with your employer soon. Others in the community might have thoughts to share on how they’ve approached their employers.

Alongside researching local council and other services offering advocacy support, below are some resources which might be useful:

1. ADHD and the workplace resource
It’s on reasonable adjustments at work, including what you can ask for and how to frame conversations with employers. There’s also a free welfare pack you can access which can also help with meetings.

  1. Information on the Access to Work (AtW) grant.
A workplace assessment and report come as part of the grant assessment process:
  1. Henry’s ‘Drop in Advice Clinic’

If you’re able to make it to one on a Friday, you can also discuss more about workplace conversations, reasonable adjustment and further support:
