After being on the waiting list with Skylight Psychiatry since January they emailed the following letter regarding funding and my refferal. It is unclear if this applies to all right to choose refferals within the ICB or if skylight have exhausted their funding. If anyone has any clarity on what is happening in West Yorkshire ICB I would be grateful.
In the mean time I have requested a new RTC referral through my GP to Montrose Health Group. My GP has said they will not process the refferal until the NHS Contracts team has come back to them to confirm the provider has an NHS contact. I have been waiting for 2 weeks now and they have said they haven’t had confirmation. Is this a normal part of the process? It didn’t happen for my Skylight Referral and I can find nothing online that this is part of the process. I am worried that they are stalling and I will be back to square one.
Hi, how frustrating for you. With some ICB’s (Integrated Care Boards), each Right to Choose provider has its own indicative activity plan, which lays out the volume of ADHD assessments for the financial year. West Yorkshire Right to Choose is currently restricted under Indicative Activity Plans
The bottom of the link page shows local data from June. However, the best source will come from your GP’s confirmation from the provider. There might be a hold up in the amount of referrals being processed through your chosen provider or other reasons, but it might be helpful to chase up with your GP for an update, or to nudge things along.
Some other providers may have more remaining capacity within each local area and some have filled capacity (from the link above it looks like Montrose is taking referrals based on a local data source). However, it’s best to confirm with your GP in case this has changed very recently.
