Titration RTC without re diagnosis

Hi, I was diagnosed with ADHD last year through BUPA (Clinical Partners) and medication was recommended at the time. I chose not to pursue medication then, but I’m now at a point where I feel ready and believe it could really help.

I’ve spoken to my GP about going down the Right to Choose (RTC) route, however the providers I’ve contacted all require a full re‑diagnosis. I found the assessment process extremely draining the first time, and honestly I can’t face going through it all again.

My question is: has anyone had experience with a provider that will accept an existing diagnosis and prescribe medication without requiring a full reassessment?

This is not un common unfortunately. As someone who has had 2 assessments for similar reasons, I appreciate how difficult this must be for you.

Unfortunately, many GPs will not accept shared care and do require you to go through a separate diagnosis.

Have you spoken to BUPA?
